Position:

• Lead and Skilled Carpenter (Interior)
• Lead and Skilled Carpenter (Exterior)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Execute carpentry tasks with precision and efficiency, maintaining an exceptional focus on safety.
• Install and finish various exterior renovation elements such as sunrooms, screen rooms, and decks, adhering to project plans and specifications.
• Craft and install custom cabinetry, countertops, and other interior features for kitchen and bathroom remodels.
• Collaborate with project managers and other carpenters to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest of quality standards.
• Manage and execute all McDrake basic project elements (quality, duration, budget) efficiently and effectively.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a carpenter, with expertise in exterior renovations and/or kitchen and bathroom remodels.
• Minimum of 2 years of residential construction experience focusing on custom aspects of kitchen, bathroom, and sunroom renovations.
• Proficiency in safely using carpentry tools and equipment.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and project plans.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality work.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

JOB OUTLINE:

The Carpet Hut Manager plays a key role in the coordination and execution of successful residential flooring projects. By planning, coordinating, and directing residential measure appointments and installation efforts, the Carpet Hut Manager is an integral part in ensuring efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. This position is in-office, full-time, exempt. This position reports to the Operations Manager.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Manage the McDrake lead generation process across all divisions from lead opportunity through proposal follow up.
• Track and report all lead opportunities across all divisions for sales reporting in McDrake’s CRM software. 
• Schedule and complete all Carpet Hut flooring measure appointments according to McDrake’s Carpet Hut Measure Checklist.
• Oversee the installation of all Carpet Hut projects, ensuring quality workmanship, trade partner communication and client satisfaction goals are achieved.
• Plan and procure materials from suppliers, ensuring timely delivery to meet project deadlines.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Adhere to project budgets by monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving measures.  Utilize all features of McDrake’s CRM software to track materials, update schedules, and submit expenses for all Carpet Hut projects,
• Manage and execute proposal follow on released Carpet Hut proposals weekly
• Ensure showroom is in “client-ready” condition daily
• Attend all weekly operations meetings

JOB OUTLINE:

The McDrake Superintendent is a highly organized, results-driven professional with exceptional leadership,
communication, and project management skills. As the job-site leader across multiple projects, you will oversee
safety, quality, and field crew workflow. This role requires strong construction knowledge, attention to detail, and
the ability to proactively manage key resources. The Superintendent reports directly to McDrake’s Production
Manager and is a full-time, non-exempt position.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Ensure strict adherence to OSHA and McDrake safety standards, conducting regular safety checks and corrective
  actions as needed.
• Uphold McDrake’s commitment to quality assurance, monitoring workmanship and materials to ensure compliance
  with specifications, building codes, and company expectations.
• Prepare and present two-week look-ahead schedules for operations meetings, anticipating challenges and adjusting
  plans to maintain project momentum.
• Create and manage material take-offs and lists for all project phases and communicate to Production Manager
• Oversee and evaluate field crew performance, ensuring productivity, accountability, and adherence to McDrake’s
  quality standards.
• Maintain accurate and timely daily logs, photos, and progress updates in Buildertrend to support communication and
  transparency.
• Update and manage production job boards daily and as required by job progress, ensuring visibility across the team
  and leadership.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage production by coordinating daily activities and ensuring all work aligns with scope, timeline, and McDrake’s
  quality standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free jobsite, ensuring tools, materials, and debris are managed efficiently.
• Verifying McDrake dust mitigation practices are in use as required.
• Work confidently and safely with various hand and power tools to complete projects.
• Understand and practice the basic principles of wall framing and foundations relating to sunroom, additions, kitchens
  and bathroom renovations.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and project plans, laying out exterior/interior finishing details.
• Mentor junior carpenters, modeling professionalism, technical skills, and problem-solving.
• Participation in continued education opportunities as they become available.
